Talking Heads was formed in New York City in 1975. The band consisted of David Byrne (vocals, guitar), Chris Frantz (drums), Tina Weymouth (bass), and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar). They are known for their eclectic style, incorporating elements of punk, funk, art rock, and world music into their sound. Talking Heads gained critical acclaim and commercial success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with their albums "Fear of Music," "Remain in Light," and "Speaking in Tongues." Byrne's distinctive vocals and the band's intelligent lyrics and inventive musical arrangements have influenced countless artists in the decades since their disbandment in 1991.
